Leona Lo is an associate in our Business Law Group. She is based in our Vancouver office.
Leona’s practice focuses on corporate and commercial transactions, as well as real estate matters. She completed her articles at LK and previously worked at the firm for three years as a real estate paralegal. This continuity gives her a deep understanding of the firm’s values and clients, along with hands-on insight into the full lifecycle of a file.
Before entering the legal profession, Leona was educated in Accounting and Finance. She worked in the international education sector for over 8 years, supporting cross-border operations between Canada, Asia, and the USA. This experience gave her a strong foundation in financial management, commercial operations, and the practical realities faced by businesses working across jurisdictions. Combined with her legal training, Leona brings a valuable, business-oriented perspective to her practice.
Leona is particularly interested in building a corporate law practice that supports clients with ties to Asia—whether they are investing in Canadian real estate, expanding their business operations, or navigating cross-border structures. Fluent in both English and Cantonese, she is well-positioned to assist Cantonese-speaking clients and to bridge cultural and communication gaps that can arise in international transactions. Her familiarity with Asian business practices and cultural nuances allows her to provide tailored, thoughtful advice that resonates with clients from diverse backgrounds.
With her unique combination of business, legal, and cultural insight, Leona takes a practical, detail-oriented approach to every matter. She is known for being responsive, organized, and focused on delivering clear, business-minded advice aligned with her clients’ goals. She prioritizes building long-term relationships and guiding clients with steady support through every stage of a transaction.
Outside of law, Leona enjoys blogging about the latest skincare trends, trying new restaurants, and spending time with her husband and cat.
